Scott: Wandering into the studio right now is a young lady who has an album coming out in July.

Todd: July 27th, I believe.

Scott: Her name is Bree Sharp.

Todd: Two cheeses.

Naomi: (laughter)

Scott: You're, what? Originally from Philadelphia?

Bree Sharp: Yes, I am.

Scott: You grew up, born and grew up there and everything?

Bree Sharp: I grew up in Philly and I moved here when I was about 17. So, I've been here about six years.

Naomi: Wow.

Scott: Cool. And you decided to pursue a career as a singer/songwriter?

Bree Sharp: Yep, here I am with you guys in the morning.

Naomi: You have a great voice. I mean really different, really nice.

Bree Sharp: Thank you, thanks a lot.

Scott: She is, she's come up with this kind of a strange song all about the star of the X-Files.

Tod, Naomi, and Joe: (laughter)

Scott: David Duchovny.

Todd: Right.

Scott: Now that is a very - I don't know - different approach.

Bree Sharp: (laughter)

Todd: Do you actually covet Mr. Duchovny?

Bree Sharp: I have coveted him from time to time.

Naomi: (laughter)

Todd: Yes, okay.

Joe: (laughter)

Bree Sharp: Enough to write a song, I guess.

Todd: Yeah, good, okay.

Bree Sharp: Enough coveting to...

Naomi: You gotta do one for Dylan McDermott. That should be your next, your followup.

Todd: From The Practice.

Naomi: I need to covet him.

Scott: He's the hottie from The Practice.

Naomi: (laughter)

Bree Sharp: Sounds like you do already.

Todd: Yeah

Scott: Now we played this song a couple of times on the air in the morning and people seem to like it so I thought well, why not let her sing it on the show live?

Bree Sharp: Thank you.

Scott: You have a gentlemen playing with you on the guitar this morning.

Bree Sharp: Yes, I do. His name is Don DiLego.

Everybody: Hey Don, hello Don, welcome. (applause)

Don: Good morning.

Scott: Guitar in hand, ladies and gentlemen, Bree Sharp along with Don this morning.

Bree Sharp: Are we good to go?

Todd: You're good to go.

- After the song -

Everybody: (applause)

Naomi: Love it, that is so great.

Scott: What a voice.

Joe and Naomi: Wow.

Naomi: I like you're gonna kill Scully. I like that one.

Bree Sharp: Me too. (laughter)

Todd: Good job, Don.

Don: Thank you.

Scott: Good guitar player over there. Now this song is, it's taking off quickly.

Todd: Mmm hmm.

Scott: Obviously he's heard this song.

Bree Sharp: He has heard the song.

Scott: Cause he lip synchs it in this little homemade video.

Bree Sharp: That's right - exciting.

Scott: But you've never actually laid eyes on him personally?

Bree Sharp: Not personally, you know, when this all happened and I found out that he heard this song I was so excited. I was like "I'm gonna meet him. I'm gonna meet him."

Todd: Right.

Bree Sharp: But now we seem to be having this correspondence through the media which is, I guess, strangely appropriate and titillating and I'm kind of interested in dragging that out as long as I can. You never know if the reality is going to be better.

Naomi: I know, you like to keep the myth going.

Scott: This video that's going around, did someone from X do that?

Bree Sharp: Yes, that was Chuck Forsch and Will Shivers.

Scott: I gotta say, Todd hasn't seen that thing.

Todd: No, I haven't seen it yet.

Bree Sharp: You're missing out.

Todd: I know.

Scott: Oh my, it's amazing. Bring all these people in, and they're lip synching her song.

Todd: That's cool.

Bree Sharp: You're behind the curb.

Todd: That's the story of my life.

Everybody: (laughter)

Scott: Make him feel great. Well, thanks for getting up this morning, Bree. Good job. Don, thank you very much

Naomi: Keep the songs coming.
